AHMED, Mirz Ghulam
(1855-1908)
   born in the Punjab he claimed the dignity of a MAHDI and founded the AMADYA SECT of ISLAM. His teachings are set out in The Arguments of the Amadya, the first volume of which appeared in 1880. ORTHODOX MUSLIMS regard him and his writings as HERETICAL.
