CREDO QUIA ABSURDIUM

CREDO QUIA ABSURDIUM
a Latin saying attributed to TERTULLIAN translated as "I believe because it is absurd" who intended it to mean that the Gospel found in the NEW TESTAMENT is so astonishing that no human being could have invented it. The saying is often misused to imply ANTI-INTELLECTUALISM.
