LENIN, Vladimir Ilyich
(1870-1924)
   Russian intellectual heir of MARX and ENGELS and professional REVOLUTIONARY who founded the Soviet Communist Party and eventually led it to power. His works include Imperialism the Highest Stage of Capitalism (1916) and Materialism and Empirico-Criticism (1908).
